Pakistani, Indian bikers ride for peace

To mark the 75th Independence anniversaries of India and Pakistan, nearly 50 bikers from the Singh’s Motorcycle Club (SMC), Pakistani Riders Group (PRG), and Indian Motorcycle Riders Club (IMRC) united to promote peace and brotherhood. Braving dusty weather, they embarked on a cross-country ride in the UAE, adorned with flags and music from both nations, symbolizing their camaraderie and shared heritage.

Gurnam Singh, founder of SMC and the event’s mastermind, emphasized the shared history and unity between India and Pakistan, highlighting the importance of love, care, and respect in fostering peace. The group’s journey, which began in Warsan and passed through the Al Qudra corridor, included a photo-op stop at Last Exit on Sheikh Zayed Road. Among the riders was 18-year-old Nikita Natu, participating in her first group ride, who credited her passion for biking to her parents.

Leaders of PRG and IMRC echoed the sentiment that motorcycling transcends borders, fostering a brotherhood among bikers regardless of race, gender, or nationality. The ride was dedicated to the freedom fighters of both nations, honoring their sacrifices that laid the foundation for the countries’ independence.
